Salento Pride takes on Saturday the 6th July 2024.

Salento Pride is an independent project, born in 2015 with the aim of providing visibility and awareness to the Salento rainbow community. After four successful editions held in Gallipoli, Salento Pride becomes itinerant, to bring its colours throughout Salento. After last year's success, the Salento Pride APS association has renewed Lecce as a destination for the event for the promotion and claim of LGBTQIAP+ rights. Not only a party of people and colours, but also and above all a manifestation of claim of those fundamental civil and social rights for all members of the Salento and Italian rainbow community, rights that are still denied us by a society that turns its head from other part.

Our pride
The pride of being what you are, from homosexual, bisexual, transgender, asexual or intersex people. Pride, understood not as "pride", but as "pride", or the opposite of "shame", which is the condition in which society would still want us to live.

Parade
The meeting point, from 16:30, is Piazza Sant'Oronzo, with an initial moment of participation and reflection before the start of the event which will include the presence of the artist Dimaggio. The route will be as follows: Piazza Sant'Oronzo - Via Trinchese - Via XXV Luglio - Via Garibaldi - Via S. Francesco d'Assisi - Via Imperatore Adriano - Via N. Sauro - Via Trinchese - Via F. Cavallotti - Via Marconi - Viale Lorè - Viale Gallipoli - Viale dell'Università - Porta Napoli.
