Trans & Intersex Pride Dublin takes place on Saturday the 13th July 2024.

⚧️️‍⚧️️‍⚧️ TRANS AND INTERSEX PRIDE IS BACK!!!! ️‍⚧️️‍⚧️️‍⚧️

This year we have four different slogans;
Transphobia Kills - We recognise the dire consequences systemic transphobia has on the lives of trans people, especially young trans people. We mourn the last of Briana Ghey, Nex Benedict, and Eden Knight, all victims of transphobic rhetoric and violence.

Our Bodies, Our Choice - Ireland is the worst EU country when it comes to trans healthcare. We continue our struggle for real bodily autonomy and agency. Anything less than informed consent based trans healthcare through GPs is farcical. We also continue our call for the end of Intersex Genital Mutilation and any medically unnecessary interventions on healthy intersex babies and youth without consent. Bodily autonomy for all

Demedicalise Intersex Bodies - Not only do we call for an end to IGM, but we also challenge the medical institution when it comes to their labelling of intersex people as a 'disorder' or in need of 'fixing'. Though intersex and trans identities are different, when we stand in solidarity with each other, we are stronger. We strive for a world where intersex people have full bodily autonomy and agency over their bodies and identities.

Queer Liberation Now - This isn't just a fight for trans and intersex people, but for the whole queer community as well. Queer liberation means understanding all forms of oppression under capitalism are connected. With the growing far right movement in Ireland, we can't rely on Rainbow Capitalism to defend us. Queer liberation will not happen under a system sucking the planet dry and draining the working class day to increase profits.
