Karlsruhe Pride takes place on Saturday the 1st June 2024.
Together, they have achieved a lot as a queer community. Since 1997, same-sex sex is no longer punishable, and since 2016, marriage is also accessible to same-sex couples. In these victories, they have had to fight hard against conservative and reactionary parts of politics and society. In the last two decades, as in the years before, social acceptance has increased through our self-confident and visible appearance, but they are currently at a turning point. At a time when the US president wants to exclude trans * soldiers, the media in the UK spread a moral panic in front of trans * persons, lesbians and gays in Russia are being pushed into the underground and even in Germany a right-wing party is growing stronger is, it is even more important to continue to fight for one another, to continue to fight together as a community for our rights. For what we have already achieved can be taken away from us at any time, and we have not achieved equal rights by far.

The CSD demonstration starts on June 1st, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Rondellplatz and ends at around 3:00 p.m. there at 3:30 p.m. Our political rally will take place at our family festival. Show that you belong! Run with us ā alone or with your queer group. Individuals can of course take part in the demonstration without registering. The CSD demonstration is a political demonstration. The demonstration starts at Rondellplatz in the direction of Europaplatz. It then runs across Friedrichplatz (past the Natural History Museum) and then turns through Waldstrasse onto Kaiserstrasse. After a short stretch along Kaiserstrasse, we turn through Herrenstrasse onto Zirkel. We continue along Waldhornstrasse and Fritz-Erler-Strasse to Kriegsstrasse , which we then take back to Rondellplatz.
Festival
CSD family festival. From 11am to 10pm. Our CSD family festival will take place on the market square with food and drink stands and an all-day stage program. Whether travesty, drag, dance, show & singing... there is something for every taste. Also on the market square you will find our Pride Mile with over 30 information stands from queer organizations that introduce themselves. You can find an overview plan and the schedule of our stage program below. A detailed plan of the information stands will be added there shortly before the CSD. Subject to change. On Schlossplatz you will also find our chill-out area with DJ music all day long, food and drink stands, as well as comfortable seating and relaxation options.
