Pilbara Pride takes p[lace from the 12th to 25th June 2026.

PHLAGS+ is a safe place for the LGBTQIA+ community to come together to celebrate and support each other. Our purpose is to advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community in Hedland and the broader North-West through local events and awareness campaigns. For the first time since launching the Pilbara Pride Festival, we’re now truly Pilbara-wide, across four towns. We’re bringing the Pilbara Pride Fest to Hedland, Karratha, Newman + Onslow thanks to partnerships with Local Governments, businesses and organisations in our region. Embrace the spirit of unity and inclusivity at the Rainbow Family Day, where families of all compositions come together for fun and connection.

Parade
Gather your friends and workmates and join our Pride Parade! Wear your brightest colours and show your support for the LGBTQIA+ community.
If you're a business, we'd love for you to register a float and make this our biggest Pride Parade yet

Rainbow Story Time at Port Hedland Visitor Centre.
Families are warmly welcomed to join us for a special Rainbow Story Time. Wear your best and brightest outfits and get ready to be entertained by our special guest storyteller Prawn Cracker Spice. Stay for the announcement of the winner of the Colouring-In Competition.

Pride dance party at Walkabout Hotel Port Hedland.
You're invited to the biggest party in the Pilbara. DJ Kayty Banks returns to keep us dancing all night, with special performances from our Queens: Hannah Conda, Jessica James, Sunting Wong, Prawn Cracker Spice, Tootz, Cougar Morrison.
