Port Douglas Hot & Steamy Festival, takes place from the 16th to the 19th February 2023.
Thinking of coming to Sydney World Pride in 2023? Then come to the Hot and Steamy
Festival beforehand and visit the spectacular Great Barrier Reef, the Daintree Rainforest (world’s oldest) and attend Australia’s funniest and ‘hottest’ regional gay festival!

Thursday 16 February
Get L'eid Luau @
Zinc. 6pm to late
Kick off your festival at Zinc, where they will be holding a cocktail & street food luau, so bring your dancing shoes, have a cocktail or two and enjoy our green season in the fabulous tropics.
Their talented chefs will be manning food stalls around the restaurant, cooking our very own Port Douglas island style cuisine.
Shake this up with tropical wonders from our mixologists adding froze, flare, finesse and experience our version of street food in the tropics. Tickets are $30. Early bird tickets up to the 31st Jan
17 February
Taste of the Tropics Long Lunch @ Salsa 12.30PM - 3PM
What better way to spend a Friday afternoon in the tropics by coming along to the Taste in The Tropics (TITT) long lunch at the stunning Salsa Bar & Grill - a Port Douglas icon! Think cocktail on arrival, divine three course lunch and a beverage list to ensure you’re cooled and hydrated for the rest of the day!
White Party @ Sugar Wharf. 5PM - 11PM
As the opening dance party for the Festival, get ready for a banger of an evening on the stunning Sugar Wharf, overlooking Dickson's Inlet and the Coral Sea. Featuring performances from our amazing Melbourne drag queens, sexy dancing boys, amazing DJs and a few other surprises, you won't want to miss this party!
18 February
COCKTAIL PARTY @ the TIN SHED. 5PM - 7.30PM
We are very excited to announce a brand new, fabulous event for 2023!
The Cocktail Party at the "Bacardi Bar" at the Tin Shed is the perfect place to enjoy an ice-cold drink with friends during Hot & Steamy and you will you’ll love hanging out on their sensational outdoor deck overlooking the sparkling water. You’ll enjoy uninterrupted views of Dickson's Inlet and watch the boats sail by. Step inside, and you’ll find a comfortable lounge area that is fully air-conditioned, perfect for a hot & steamy day!
La Cage aux Douglas @ the CLINK THEATRE. 7PM (Bar opens 6pm)
Your host Donna Perignonn will take you on a journey of those camp classics starring the fabulous local talent of our region... If its camp you're after, don't miss this jamboree...
Main Festival Party @ Central Hotel. 9PM - 2AM
Our main festival dance party will be held at the Central Hotel, right in the heart of Port Douglas and will feature performances from some of Melbourne's greatest drag queens and scores of hot dancing boys.
19 February
Soaked Pool Party. 2PM - 7PM
Get SOAKING wet, for what promises to be an incredible day at the stunning Niramaya Villas and Spa.
Wet or dry, don't miss our fabulous drag queens and our sexy dancing boys who will be entertaining you throughout the day!!!
The 2023 Festival will feature performances from some of Melbourne's biggest drag queen icons, and we will have a range of hot Go Go boys to drool over!
