Tokyo Rainbow Pride takes place from the 7th to 8th June 2025.

Every year, Tokyo Rainbow Pride, Yoyogi Park transforms for one week into a rainbow of colours as diversified as the people it represents. During this week, more than 60 events such as drag queen shows, musical performances or talk events will be taking place at Yoyogi Park, in a gleeful atmosphere.

With the aim of celebrating the diversity of sexuality and life together with LGBTQ+ people and their supporters (allies) and providing a place to connect, TRP has been operating the Tokyo Rainbow Pride was held. In 2012, 4,500 people participated, and the scale has expanded year by year, reaching a record high of 270,000 people in April 2024. Furthermore, the movement has grown significantly through the involvement of not only individuals involved, but also various supporters such as LGBTQ+ community organizations, domestic and foreign companies, governments, politicians, diplomatic missions in Japan, media, artists, and citizen groups. During this time, social recognition of LGBTQ+ people has changed significantly, and their visibility has progressed.
