The Lord Roberts is an ex-gay pub and still gay friendly which is a quirky, cosy pub sitting on the corner of Broad Street and High Cross Street since 1936. The art-deco style building was designed by architects WB Starr and Hall, and was listed in 2009 in Nottingham Civic Society’s ‘List of Local Heritage Assets of the City of Nottingham’.

The pub was refurbished in 2016 by Flipside Brewery. The theatre posters of old remain, as does the old swing board, but now sitting alongside new editions such as our Sherwood Forest inspired beer garden. There are 10 real ales on offer, 6 real ciders, and 5 craft beers, in company with an extensive collection of single-malt whiskies and gins.
