The UK’s national LGBTQ+ museum has completely reinvented its galleries for 2026 with new displays highlighting queer stories and experiences, from the unconventional families of the Bloomsbury Group to the UK’s first ‘out’ gay professional footballer. Over 200 objects tell stories of queer life, love, protest and artistry through six themes:
• Resist!
• Club Kids
• Queer Creativity
• Body and Mind - including a panel from the UK AIDS Memorial Quilt
• Live, Laugh, Love
• The World Around Us

In addition, Queer Britain's special exhibitions in 2026 include:
• Queer Print: 4th February – 3rd May
• 40 years of BFI Flare: 4 February – 3 May
• Progressive Advertising with Diageo: 13 May – 26 July
• Trans is Human: 5th August – 27th September

The museum also has a great gift shop full of LGBTQ+ souvenirs. Tickets can be booked in advance from their website.
