The parties in the Burgklause have always been famous and notorious. So many different people are there, so many theme parties and crazy events started in the castle. Hannover has one of the most traditional gay bars here. Since 1966, the castle is in the hands of homosexual men, or ladies.

The previously secret history and the open taboo of homosexuality may be lived quite openly and freely in this day and age. The Burgklause is the cult pub for homosexuals and all other people with cheerfulness.
