Barnstable Pride takes place on Saturday the 27th July 2024.

Celebrating the 52nd anniversary of the first Pride march on 1st July 1972. Meet outside Barnstaple library to march at 1:45pm. We are planning an incredible celebration and showcasing of diversity in Barnstaple- music, dance, food, art, and much more.

Join us for a vibrant celebration of diversity and equality at our annual Diversity Festival and LGBTQ+ Pride March. Let your colours shine and your voices be heard as we come together to celebrate the beautiful spectrum of identities that make our community so rich and diverse. Pride March: The festival will start with a Pride march. Stand tall and proud as we take to the streets in a colourful and spirited parade, spreading messages of love, acceptance, and equality for all.

Here's what you can expect: Live Music & Performances: Groove to the beats of talented local artists and performers as they showcase their talents on stage. Art Exhibitions and craft: Explore thought-provoking art installations and exhibitions that celebrate the beauty of diversity and challenge societal norms. Food Stalls: Indulge in a delicious array of cuisines from around the world, served up by local food vendors. There's something for every palate. Educational Workshops: Engage in insightful discussions and workshops led by community leaders and activists, covering topics such gender equality, racism, age inclusion, as LGBTQIA+ rights, and building inclusive communities.
