fabALICE festival takes place from the 26th to 28th March 2026.

For Kings, Queens and everything in-between, a three-day rainbow festival in the beating heart of Australia… spectacular drag, comedy and cabaret performances and all ages events featuring a flag raising ceremony, Street Party, Colouring the town Rainbow, Cinema screenings, Drag Queen Story time, Carnival under the stars.

The 32nd anniversary of the widely acclaimed film “Priscilla - Queen of the Desert”. The 1994 Australian comedy-drama film quickly attained cult status within the LGBTQI community. The plot follows two drag queens and a transgender woman as they journey across the Australian Outback from Sydney to Alice Springs in a tour bus that they have named "Priscilla", along the way encountering various groups and individuals. The opportunity to develop an internationally recognised long term annual festival event for Central Australia, uniquely called the ‘fabALICE Festival’. The 3-day festival showcases comedy, cabaret, live music, community pageant and social activities whilst paying homage to this iconic cult film and stage musical with a new Priscilla hub bar, Budget Barbie Camper town tours and a dress up re-screening of the film and prizes for the best dressed.
