Fountain Inn bar
Cat: Gay Bar

The Fountain Inn bar is a long standing member of the gay scene in Birmingham. We have been serving the gay community for many years now and are continually building on an already well established and maintained venue, offering a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Located in the heart of the gay village within easy walking distance of the rest of the bars and clubs.
The main bar still maintains much of its original character with a traditional feel to it and will be your port of call for getting your glass refilled.
The lower bar area between the main bar and pool lounge is where you will find the jukebox and gaming machines as well as access into the MEN ONLY cruise area.
The pool lounge at the rear of the venue has a much more modern feel to it. With as the name suggests the pool table, comfy sofas and large patio doors leading out into the garden with covered smoking area.
The MEN ONLY cruise area is pretty much what it says on the tin with low lighting and various dark corners throughout

Staff are rude, dismissive and unfriendly, especially the younger guy with the glasses. Staff need to go on a 'customer care' or 'customer service' course. Area is unsafe - stones were thrown at the hotel windows early in the morning. Facilities are very basic and dirty; rooms are tiny and uncomfortable. Nor is it a gay-friendly hotel, as they claim. Price-wise they are in the same bracket as Travelodge, Premier Inn, but do not offer anything those chains do - will not stay there the next time I am in Birmingham later this month.

Dull dark and dingy the owner is very unfriendly a little goatee , but they need to clean there pipes, there toilets thus its dark they do not want you to see how unclean it is, had bad guts after a couple of pints other venues in the area are far better and more customer focused ,the owner is like the quote light travels faster than sound, this why he seems bright until he opens his mouth .avoid

A little bit of a stroll away from the main gay village in a rather run down area. This gay bar has the feel more of a local pub but it does have a 'men only meeting room and is friendly and welcoming enough.
