Happy Love Month to all PinkUk users
This month marks the 30th Anniversary of the iconic comedy film. The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert that was realised in 1994. It is about two drag queens, and a transgender woman, as they journey through the Australian Outback to Alice Springs. It is a must-see film. Watching it was part of the rite of passage in classing yourself as a member of the LGBTQ+ communities. It won many awards, including a OSCA for ‘Best costume design’ and a BAFTA.
Our Pinkest love to everyone on 14 February Valentine’s Day whether you are in a relationship, looking to be in one or are just happily independent! Check out our listings if you fancy a romantic city break on Valentines or plan for the summer Pride season.
Erratum: contrary to our report last month on the Church of England's position on blessing same-sex marriage, the blessing is only for the individuals and is not about blessing the partnership as such.
