Things to do right now... How about the virtual London LGBTIQ+ Film Festival?

This month we are promoting LGBTQ+ culture and what better way to enjoy things at the moment with lockdowns and other restrictions than heading virtually to the 35th London LGBTIQ+ film festival taking place 17 - 28 March?

The festival will be virtual this year, and its film premieres will be available via BFI Player (this app is for UK audiences or those with VPN access). It offers a dynamic programme of the best new LGBTQ+ cinema from around the world, alongside a programme of virtual events, which will be available to audiences for free.

There are 35 short films from around the world available to watch throughout the festival and five LGBTQ+ themed short films available to watch worldwide for free on the British Council Arts’ YouTube channel and on BFI Player. BFI Flare: London LGBTIQ+ Film Festival. Enjoy!

Love & Pink Respect from Dave & the team, PinkUk

Our review: It's A Sin

its a sin

‘It's A Sin’ is one of the most emotional TV series we’ve seen at PinkUk.  Going through the five-part series starting in 1981 when the AIDS epidemic was starting to take hold. This is one of the most touching and moving captures of how real it was in the 80's. Also, how stigmatised HIV/AIDS were back then. We all had a good cry through the last three episodes and have since had nothing but this series stuck in our minds. You can watch it on All4 App where all episodes are available. We rate this a strong five stars. 5 stars

Some of us remember going through the fear during that decade. Channel4
