LGBTQ+ scene in Hong Kong

Info

One of the biggest LGBT+ events in Hong Kong returns this October, with an exciting free carnival and loads of live music and entertainment, all in support of love, diversity and equality in the S.A.R.

Inspired by the success of Pink Dot Singapore, which started in 2009, an alliance of Hong Kong LGBT organisations came together to launch Pink Dot HK in 2014 and support the local LGBT+ cause.

Since then, Pink Dot Hong Kong has held the annual pride event, with this year’s theme being “Love Unites”.

The action takes place once again at the scenic West Kowloon Art Park, where there will be three stages with lots of different shows and entertainment—the Pink Stage, a Busker Stage, and the DJ Stage.

Attendees can take part in “Pink Talks”, which will tackle a variety of LGBT+ issues affecting Hong Kong, and a Rainbow Church will be on site, providing worship services, as well as blessings for same-sex couples.
