National Student Gay Pride 2012
2012 is the biggest change to Student Pride in recent years, we are moving our venue to the Brighton Dome, the grade 1 listed concert and conference centre in the Centre of Brighton. This will allow the Under 18’s to attend the daytime festival for the first time, with FE students being a large part of the NUS membership this is an important step forward. The club night will also be at the Brighton Dome in the Corn Exchange, doubling our numbers to 1200 students for the club.
Why do we need National Student Pride? University and College is often the first time people come out and although there are many LGBT students who are comfortable with who they are, there are also a lot of students who are struggling to come to terms with their sexuality. This is why we at Student Pride believe it is important to have a presence on university campuses not only for them but also for the rest of our university communities, to see yes we are here and yes it is normal.
The Green party will be having a very active presents again at this years event.
