Taunton Live & Pride takes place on Saturday the 16th June 2022.

After the huge success of last year’s festival introducing LGBTQIA+ elements, GoCreate and Taunton Pride plan to collaborate the delivery of Taunton Live & Pride 2022. This will be its most inclusive, colourful and creative festival yet, maintaining popular core events during the summer incorporating visual art exhibitions, displays of yarnbombing, primary school art workshops and open art competitions within schools.

We believe that by creating an exciting event attracting people from all walks of life we will be able to promote not only Arts but culture, diversity and inclusivity, creating a vibrant community of respect and connection. For young LGBTQI people in Taunton it’s crucial that they feel represented, with isolation due to Covid and the resources available being stretched, our event offers a safe space where our community can educate and celebrate diversity. Our event is a collaborative progression from previous events celebrating arts, culture, diversity and inclusion.

Festival
The high point of this year will be the ‘Taunton Live & Pride’ in Vivary Park. This will include multiple stages, a literary area, street art, theatre, comedy, dance and well-being area.
