Fulanita Fest A Women's Festival takes place on Saturday the 28th May 2022.
Fulanita de Tal and Javier Ojeda, the godfather of the project, present the first edition of FULANITA FEST in Marenostrum-Fuengirola, on May 28, 2022.
Artists for the first FULANITA FEST edition: Rigoberta Bandini, María Peláe, Delaporte and Rocío Díaz.
For more than 20 years, Fulanita de Tal has been a national reference throughout Spain when it comes to visibility, freedom, leisure and commitment to women ́s pride in all areas of life, including the participation of women in cultural activities.
There are few spaces and festivals that give visibility to women. In Spain, not even a third of the featured performing artists are women. So going one step further and with the collaboration of the Fuengirola City Council, we present the first female musical event in the south of Spain. Within the Marenostrum space as a backdrop, more than 10,000 people will be able to enjoy a festival open to everyone in front of the sea.
About the Artists
Rigoberta Bandini is currently one of the new musical phenomena of the season, thanks to such successful singles as "Perra" and "A ver qué pasa" or the latest and equally famous "Ay Mama”, which was shortlisted to represent Spain in this year's Eurovision.
María Peláe is known for her committed and intricate lyrics loaded with social criticism and the mixture of this with the most current sound. She is a whirlwind from Malaga, with hits like “La niña” and “Que vengan a por mi”. In addition, she has become one of the great revelations of the primetime Spanish TV show.
Delaporte: fantasy, electronics and love... this is how this group defines itself. Their latest release is the EP “Abril”, which is at the forefront of female electronic pop.
Rocío Saiz, her advocacy for diversity and her criticism of the heteropatriarchy have made her one of the strongest LGTBIQ + references in Spain. She is one of the pillars of Spanish indie pop, and will present “Amor amargo”.
About the Fulanita Experience
The main feature of this FULANITA FEST will be live music, with DJ performances and all kinds of entertainment to create a unique experience. These are the scheduled activities: Friday 27th - welcome party, Saturday 28th - women's soccer contest on the beach, preceding the concert, and Sunday 29th - brunch/farewell on the beach.
Fulanita de Tal thus adds a new activity to all those that are produced throughout Spain.
After this first edition of the FULANITA FEST, the intention is to take the second edition on a journey to other Spanish cities, where it can bring the visibility of the female artist to even greater heights.
