Info
Mayo Pride takes place from the 29th May to 1st June 2026.
Mayo Pride is a non-profit community group that aim to create awareness and understanding of the LGBT+ community by bringing the whole community together through organising fundraising events throughout the year, followed by a pride weekend during the summer. The idea of these events is to create a safe space where like-minded people can come and mingle, be it straight or LGBT+. We are so lucky to have such great support from the community in Mayo, and we look forward to meeting you all again this year.
Theme
to follow
Friday
Pride Boat Cruise 19:00-20:30 Clew Bay Cruises, The Point, The Quay, Westport. All aboard the good ship Lollipop as our still internationally ignored Pirate Queens, Cornflake Girl and Princess Fianna bring you on a lip sync & sail across Clew Bay. This year’s cruise takes in all the queerest coves, sparkliest waves, and most dramatic scenic commentary while you sip cocktails and twirl with the seals (who are a bit judgy, btw). Dress in your best maritime fantasy, life jacket, or distress signal, just in case you cackle yourself overboard.
Saturday
Parade
13:30 @ The Fairgreen, Westport. Join us for the 9th annual Mayo Pride Parade. The parade will be led by Sing Along Social who will help you to raise your voices and show your true colours. The theme celebrates visibility, expression, and the right to live openly and authentically in rural Ireland and in all aspects of society. The parade will meet at The Fairgreen Westport from 13:30 and march to The Quay for a post-parade party at The Towers featuring a whole host of drags, dancers, live performances DJs much more.
Festival
Pride on the green. This year the official Pride Parade After-Party lands back where it starts, on the historic Fairgreen in Westport's bustling town centre. As the parade arrives back around 14.30, the grass becomes our dance floor. We’re inviting you to pack your pride picnics or grab a takeaway bite from a local business and settle in for an afternoon of pure queer joy.
After party
from 22:00 the Late Pride Festival Club at The Mariner. Mayo Pride presents a post-parade party extravaganza featuring Ireland’s most iconic queer club DJs Conor Behan (The George) & Kate Brennan Harding for a night of all thriller no-filler club classics and pride bangers. Expect surprise pop-up performances from 23:00 and good vibes all night long.
