CSD Freiburg takes place on Saturday the 25th June 2022.
Saturday, June 25th it's finally time. The CSD parade rolls through Freiburg again!!!
For us, Christopher Street Day (CSD) is an expression of emancipation. We support the demands of the Transgenial CSD in Berlin (T*CSD). For us, solidarity and the combination of different forms of oppression are part of the fight against exclusion and discrimination. We see our struggle against the oppression of LGBTIQA* (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans*, Intersex, Queer, Asexual) people in the context of other social movements. For this reason, too, there will be an information stand for the animal rights initiative and the on-site care for the CSD participants will be exclusively vegan. At the CSD events, we actively promote the concept of awareness and want EVERYONE to treat each other and themselves with respect. We are firmly opposed to any sexism, racism, anti-Semitism and nationalism. In view of the demonstration character of the event, we therefore wish for a sensitive handling of national symbols.
Social or geographical origin of people as well as their mental or physical abilities must not be a reason for exclusion.
Nazis, right-wing conservatives or religious fanatics are expressly NOT welcome at any of our events.
Our motto is bilingual because this year we are cooperating across national borders with Prides in France and Switzerland.
Especially in these times, we are once again shown how dangerous borders can be and how important solidarity is. A war of aggression in the middle of Europe seemed unimaginable for all of us, all the more shocking to us is the cruelty behind nationalistic thinking and totalitarian claims to power. With our motto, we not only refer to the violence and suffering caused by national borders, but also to borders that exist in our minds and also cause suffering and exclusion.
