Bergen Pride 2020
Date: 30 May 2020 to 06 Jun 2020
Updated: 18 Oct 2019Bergen Pride 2020 website
InfoBergen Pride is the second largest Pride festival in Norway, and is a celebration of love and diversity. The festival, that takes place the first week of June every year, has over 80 different events during the 7 days of pride and gathers about 35 000 participants. The pride festival is owned by: FRI – The Norwegian organisation of gender and sexual diversity in Bergen and Hordaland.
On the west coast of Norway, one of the most gender equal countries in the world, you’ll find the historic city of Bergen. With it’s astonishing nature, and beautiful architecture, this historic Hanseatic city was voted the second most beautiful city in Europe by the readers of US Today in 2013.
But what makes Bergen so special? Is it because it’s the “gateway to the fjords”? Is it Bergen’s historic wharf, Bryggen, and the city’s architecture with surrounding fjords and beautiful mountains? Or is it the fact that the city is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site and a popular port for cruise ships?
Meeting time for Pride Parade participants: 11am - noon. (All Pride Parade participants who have registered to join the parade as a group, have to meet at the starting point no later than noon. If you are not there by noon, you will not be permitted to join the parade as a group)
The parade starts at 1pm.
Bergen Pride 2020 will start at Skur 7 – Bryggen – Torget – Strandkaien – Strandgaten – Christian Michelsens gate – Markeveien – Veiten – Øvre Ole Bulls plass – Torggaten – Nordahl Bruns gate – Christes Gate – Rasmus Meyers Allé (ends)
