Venues more optimistic now than in April 2020

Thanks to those UK LGBTQ+ venues and organisations whom we invited to complete a short straw poll online last month. We’ll share more information in the next newsletter, but we found amidst all the doom and gloom in these times that more LGBTQ+ UK venues were optimistic about the next six months than they were in April during the first lockdown.

In September 23% of venue organisers said they were less optimistic while 38.5% said they were more optimistic, 30.8% said there was no change and 7.7% said they had no opinion. Note: the survey was under-taken before the second UK lockdown was imposed.

Featured pride: Arran Pride 2021

Congrats on your first pride

The Scottish island of Arran’s first Pride will be on 21st May 2021 and is aiming to be a fun family one-day event for all to enjoy and will offer some much needed sales opportunities for local businesses and crafters. Arran Pride would love to hear from businesses to be part of the event. Arran Pride will promote lead up events on its Facebook page.

If you would like to host one of these lead-up events they would love to talk to you.

Making up for 2020 & 2001 Prides

2020 PinkUk have a total of 458 prides and events in 44 countries.
2021 we now have 59 prides and events in UK for 2021, and have a total of 146 prides and events in 24 countries for 2021.

We would like to hear what’s on your mind; how you are coping in whatever retail or LGBTQ+ scene environment, whether as a customer or as a venue or supplier and whether in the UK or else where. Please tell us your story. We’re committed to all our listed venues and the people who rely on them thru thick ‘n thin.
