Suriname Pride takes place from the 27th October to 6th November 2022.

Also on behalf of the LGBT Platform Suriname, we proudly announce again under special circumstances the twelfth edition of PRIDE Month Suriname from October 1 to November 6.

Under the theme 'Wi Srefi' sranan for ourselves, we want to encourage LGBT people to continue to fight for acceptance. Pride is for us and by us. The theme emphasizes how important it is to be able to count on each other, to be there for each other, to be understanding and to accept each other regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, and emphasizes the importance of unity, involvement and participation also for those who are not yet visibly being able or wanting to be themselves.

The PRIDE Suriname 2022 logo was designed by designer Sherwin Vreeswijk and consists of a pyramid formed by building blocks, which stands for building and supporting each other.

Information and Education about the history of Pride, planned activities during the as well as Training for LGBT people about their rights; stories from PRIDE Ambassadors using video vlogs. A film festival where an international film with an LGBT theme is screened every week for 4 weeks.
Raising awareness through Dialogue through social discussion moments using social media videos about the promotion of the living conditions of LGBT people in Suriname.
Community Integration and Safe Places for LGBT People by organizing activities and setting up meeting places that are safe and inclusive for LGBT people with support from pro-friendly businesses and organizations, so they can be themselves.
